Yakuza 5 modding
on 11/2/2018, 10:36 am
I think this is the only Yakuza Game that got mods from other players for it and there are quite interesting. I don't know how to make this work but it's obviously model replacement.
Loneliness Loop but different...
Haruka fights Thugs on the Street. Before playing Yakuza 5 I really thought Haruka could fight in the Game.

Haha, I remember seeing that Haruka video way back. Seeing stuff like this really makes me want to see Yakuza on PC.

That's Rad! But yes I would really like to see Yakuza on PC at some point. I can imagine some crazy mods for it.
Shaders, Model Replacements, Music changes, New added content and so on. The list is long :D

In theory Yakuza and Yakuza 2 are capable of being modded. Games like Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix get modded frequently and are able to be played on PCSX2 and your "legal" dump of the game.
That said ya gotta find people who know how to do it of course.
Should add that none of the PS4 titles would ever be modifiable because the PS4 is a tank in preventing people from modding games. PS3, PSP, and PS Vita however all have CFW that can be obtained by certain system software versions that can do various things such as playing modded ISOs, cheats, homebrew and a hell of a lot more.
Best case scenario for the Yakuza series getting more mods is PC though, that said I'm not sure it will ever come to PC due to SEGA sort of having to rely on Sony as much as they have to even get the Yakuza series out. Well see in time though.

At the moment it's hard to think about Yakuza on PC because as you said Sony pretty much is the lifeline for the Series. If it grows however it could get possible to see it on PC.

I can't stand Games with Microtransactions. There are so many of them and they say you don't need them to play the game but to get the full experience or to keep up with the others you need to pay money. I don't like this trend. I buy additional content if it's worth it like for example Dark Souls DLCs where complete new areas came available.
